The workshop will give students practical instruction and technique in the following areas: Logic Studio Pro Workshop “Real World” Examples : How to approach mixing tracks - work flow / interface / production method on tracks that are not recorded by you. A good example is “your buddy” has recorded using his “porta studio” digital recorder and you have to import this audio and use your DAW (Logic) to mix/master and edit these tracks. Live Recording: Either in your studio or Live on a gig, for the most part using a laptop. This is going to pay closer attention to “the recording signal path," e.g., mic > audio interface > DAW interface & input section. The Ultimate Box set Logic Studio Pro Workshop Music Creation: This is a general phase including using loops, creating beats, spotting for video – looping / dialogue replacement. Phases of audio and midi will be covered in this phase of the program. This is where an input device… midi controller … such as an Axiom 49 will be used. While this workshop is geared towards Logic users, any DAW user can benefit from this workshop, including those coming from Garage Band. This workshop is also a good idea for those Final Cut Pro users looking to gain a better handle on their audio control as FCP and Soundtrack Pro both use the same audio engine.
